Valentine's gift worries.

Only 2 more weeks before Valentine's day. Those who are single won't have to worry about what to get for their loved ones, but the attached ones need to start cracking their brains if they haven't done it already. Question. What sort of celebration to have? Where to have dinner or drinks? To send red roses or white lilies? And most importantly, what would make an ideal gift for your partner. Honestly, that's the biggest headache I have right now since we don't go out for dinner on the day itself. We've been together for nearly 3 years now, and yet we've never done the whole Valentine's day dinner, wine and red roses thing. So yeah, now I've got to think of what to get for my bf. I can't afford to spend much on him since I'm saving up for another course. That's so sad, considering the amount of money he had and would spend on me... :( Was chatting with a friend online earlier regarding this. He suggested that I get my bf a PDA phone. I know my bf would absolutely love that, but I just can't dish out the few thousand right now. Everything is so expensive these day! I can probably afford only a few hundred bucks. I was thinking for a few hundred bucks I can probably get us for a short beach holiday at Pulau Rawa. Heard that it's an amazing place to just chill out and drink beer. Or maybe I could get him Wrangler National Final Rodeo tickets to watch the rodeos finals in Vegas. But he'll have to cover the air tickets and hotel stay. :P My friend also suggested that I give him personal coupons for massages. That will cost nothing, but... nahhhh I'm not THAT cheap k. I can still afford a few sessions of massages.

So how? What to buy? What to buy? Help!!

Holiday mood oredi.

I'm oredi in holiday mood. Just completed this project. Rushed like mad okay but finally it's all over! Classes will only resume about 2 weeks after Chinese New Year, so now feel soooo relaxed and free!! Of course, I pinjamed a plastic head and a tripod from my cikgu yesterday to practice during the holiday lah... cannot be lazy, gotta practice practice practice. All the cikgu also say practice makes perfect. I'm actually quite surprised at how serious and rajin I am with this whole course. Well, I am chasing my dream after all. It's a bit late, but at least I'm on the right path. AND IT'S NOT A CHILDHOOD DREAM!

Love the life right now. Work like mad for short periods, then when I'm stressed till I'm about to explode, just go attend classes, and feel everything settling down again. Some people look for high flying career, climbing the corporate ladder bla bla, but I am looking for money and flexibility. A lifestyle balance. And I'm getting there, slowly but surely.

Yay I got an Ipod Touch!

Sometimes I feel like I'm the luckiest gf in the world. My bf recently bought me an Ipod Touch for Christmas. He celebrates Christmas, I don't. All I do is just get drunk during Xmas ;) But anyways... I absolutely love the Ipod Touch. Few years ago someone gave me an Ipod Photo. At that time Ipod Photo was the latest release. I was quite proud to own that piece of mp3 player that can be used to view photos. That was then. When I compared it to my Ipod Touch, my goodness, the Ipod Photo is so fat! I think I'll give the old Ipod to my sister hee hee

The Touch is so sexy and slim. I don't really listen to music much these days so I use it mostly to surf the net. Yaaaa there's in-built wifi! So cool right! Am worried that I'll scratch it though, am thinking of getting an ipod case for it. But ipod cases are SO expensive! :( I wonder whether I can get my bf to get it for me too... hee hee

Maybe something clear like this so that my Ipod's sexiness can still show through?

It's funny how sometimes you never noticed something because you never knew it existed, and when you know, suddenly you see it everywhere.

What am I talking about? Bosco, of course! At first I thought he's a moronic ugly dude in this Astro on Demand TVB series, War of In Laws 2. After watching 10 episodes or so, suddenly realise that he's oh so cute. Of course, I'm influenced by my sister also who moans and groans everytime he came on screen. And really, what are the chances of me doing touch up (sound so obscene right) for him at the recent Astro WLT Drama Awards 2007? Up close and personal, don't play play hahahahhaha

Then today when I was in class, they played the subtheme song of WOIL2. Best gila okay!

There seems to be all sort of crap happening in our country now huh? Sometimes I really don't know whether people around me are aware of the monkey business that surrounds this country. I recently asked my sister whether she has registered to vote (since the next general election is coming up REAL soon) and she just said she doesn't care and frankly politics is not her cup of tea. Oh dear. If everyone think like that, then the country is in deep trouble. I guess I could put up myspace polls to find out. Questions I'll ask?

1. Have you registered to vote?
2. Why not?
3. When are you gonna realise that it is your duty as a citizen to go vote during election day?
4. Who will you blame when things in the government machinery piss the hell out of you?

So yeah, go do your part. Register to vote. Don't forget to go vote during the election day though!

Air Asia free ticket frenzy.

Air Asia is giving out free tickets again. This time around I heard they are giving out about 300,000 tickets for both international and local destinations. So far we've taken advantage of the 'free ticket' promotion twice, once to Bangkok and another time to Phuket. I used to fly Air Asia very often when I had to travel to Terengganu for work. Had to go to Terengganu nearly one every week, and although I have nothing to complain about the aircraft, I'll have to say that the travelling does take its toll.

Botak called me today and asked whether I wanted to go holiday with her. I agreed almostly instantly as we've never gone anywhere far together, the furthest we've travelled to is Langkawi, and that was nearly 10 years ago. So we've kinda agreed to travel to Hanoi, if there are anymore tickets left. You know la, us Malaysians are damnnn kiasu wan! hahahah Anyways we are hoping to make it an all girls' trip minus the men, so ya, the men can have their FF time!

Important markers in your life.

The journey to adulthood is marked by important events such as getting into the university of your choice (or not), getting your first job (and your first pay cheque), getting married, and giving birth to your first child. Education has always been a non-issue for me, I have no problem studying for exams although sometimes I really do detest doing assignments. I usually leave it to the very last ninute before I get started. Ya ya I know I'm a lazy bugger. My first job? I worked for my dad, so I can hardly say that it was exciting. The tasks were not difficult cos I'm not stupid, but the most terrible thing is having to deal with people treating you as the 'boss' daughter'. I am not married, but I think I will enjoy the journey. I like the idea of coming home to him every night, and being able to make pretzels every night when we sleep. The scariest of all has to be childbirth. I've heard people say that some women tend to be... looser *there* after giving birth. Like, will we ever enjoy sex anymore? What if those leftover flap about? Brrrrrr thinking about it already scares me, on a positive note, if that really happen, at least I know there's such thing as vaginal cosmetic surgery. Or I could go for the cheaper option of 'urut tradisional'.

Idiot from the past.

Don't feel too well today. I had a few drinks last night. Been noticing that I suffer from post drinks mood swing for the past few months already. Perhaps it is time to say no to drinks? Although I have been drinking much lesser than usual...

Today someone from the past messaged me online and asked me things that I have tried forgetting and forgotten. Why are some people so insensitive? Why do they lack the social courtesy that is vital in keeping the peace of the society? Are they just stupid or do they have hurtful intentions? I really don't know. I'll like to think that he's just an idiot who doesn't know how to behave or what to say.

Really affected by the stuff he brought up that even a huge serving of chocolate baskin robbins did not help. Even being able to do touchup for Bosco, my current TVB idol at the astro drama awards did not help. On a side note, Bosco is really cute and tall and his face is so smooth. No scars. Wonder whether anyone would buy the powder puff that was used on Bosco's face. And if yes, how much would they buy it for.

Really wanted to see my bf yesterday, but he was going to Velvet and I didn't feel like standing around after having done that the whole day. So called some friends up and had a quiet night drinking at a small pub in Taman Tun. Later bf cooked noodles for me. It was the first time, and he refused to let me help. Okay, it was only indomee, but it's really the thought that counts, isn't it?

Woke up real late today, wasted the whole day, and now I have to complete some work to meet tomorrow's deadline.

Aunt found out about my freelancing stuff, and asked me whether I get EPF contribution. She looked as if I was crazy for quitting my job when I told her there's no EPF contribution. I wanted to tell her I get a much higher rate, but I didn't bother. Am just too tired after that idiot from the past ruined my day. Thanks a lot. I hope your day will be better tho.

Just went through folders and folders of photos on my computer. Really miss those days when I had my multiply account and could upload hundreds of pics everyday. Just for the heck of it I'm gonna put some pics from the recent (or not so recent) trip to Phuket. It'll be nice to go for a short beach holiday before CNY. I miss Phuket...

First shoot!

Met a model from Kazakhstan during the Friday shoot. When she told me that she's from Kazakhstan, my first question was "Oh, where Borat is from?" hahahahhahahah According to her, Borat is actually an insult to her country. No one in her country has any idea what language he's speaking because it's not the country's language. She speculated that it may be a mix of Polish and something else. Evidently Borat has performed for the President by the latter's invitation oOOooOo

Anywaysssssssss it was my first time attending a shoot and it was interesting. It was amazing to see the model transformed from a sweet looking girl to a gorgeous glamorous woman. We cannot doubt the wonders of makeup!!! And modelling is such hard work!! I see her working and I feel so bloody tired from all the poses that she had to hold. Think American Next Top Model times a 1000 times of effort. It's hard earned money, man!!!

The good thing about this shoot is that I learnt that Kazakhstan is a half Muslim half Christian country. Where is it at? Near China and Russia. See... everyday you learn something new :) :) :)

After the shoot I decided that I gotta look pretty too so I went to get a haircut. Look good or not, I guess it is for others to judge but with the shorter do I feel younger and edgier. Wish I could have gotten a more 'artistic' cut because your appearance is how you market yourself and if I want to be a makeup artist I gotta look the part, isn't it? At least I already have my heavy duty makeup train oredi hahahahhahahahahh

Was supposed to bring my bfs dogs to the k9 show in BU this morning, but none of us could wake up so I guess the dogs will have to wait till the next show. Was kinda looking forward to it because it'll be something different that we haven't done together. Kinda sick and tired of drinking and clubbing. Clubbing. Clubbing. Argg!!!!!

Been procrastinating when it comes to work. Really should start tomorrow. Arranging to meet up with two persons for in depth interviews to find out about the fruits/vege wholesaling business but these ppl are just so busy!! Let's hope I'll get to see them this week.

Complications of a relationship

Sometimes I really wonder what's the point of being in a relationship. Don't you think everything's so complicated? Like you think, oh, I don't think he'll like me doing it, so you stop doing it, or you do it much much lesser than usual, and then suddenly you find him doing it and it irritates the shit out of you.

But then again you were the only one who gave it up willingly, right? So don't go around expecting him to return the favour when he didn't ask for it in the first place. I think this is a perfect situation of 'lor lei chin'.

Strictly platonic relationship.

You know how sometimes you see a guy n a girl n they say their rship is strictly platonic even though they behave like they r a couple? Well the truth is it is hard to achieve this opposite sex platonic rship. Two persons of diff sex spending loads of time together will eventually develop feelings for each other. Unless one's a homo. So don't fall for the platonic rship trick.

Haven't been to Sunway Pyramid in years!

Paktoh with bf last week in Sunway Pyramid. It's been a looongggg loonnggg time since I last went there. The new wing has already been completed, and now Pyramid is one biggg circle of shops. It's nice, tons of independent stores or maybe new ones that I haven't came across. Walked round and round looking for MAC, but couldn't find it. It's listed in the directory... maybe it's just not open yet.

Oh I bought this mini lava lamp from this cute little store and had it customised with a 'chao chai mao', a cat figure that's supposed to bring money luck. It's now on his office table :) Been a looonngg time since I did something cutesy for no reason. I like my life now!!!



Sunway Pyramid's going for the high class positioning now. I remember this old dark spot in the middle near the skating rink, and now its sooo bright, sooo new and there's even a pianist there! See!!




Ahhh then we went to makan in Tony Roma's. It's our first time there, and I must say I quite like the food there. Tasty food. BTW that's the way I describe food that I can't say it's delicious, so I say it's tasty. Tasty, as in a lot of taste. LOL This is an appetizer called Kickin' Shrimps. Yummilicious. Must try.



Both of us were so stuffed when we went to TGV to catch Enchanted. I love that movie, so fairytaley. :) I like the contrast in between the two worlds and how the characters learn about moderation from each other's world.

Need to save up!

Edward is back. We had the craziest drinking cum karaoke session last Friday that I had to spend the entire Saturday night recuperating at home. What to do, this is definitely a sign of aging. My liver must be crying out for help now, begging me "Please stop the binge drinking... please do stop". And the thirst from the dehydration in the morning! Man.... I have this bad habit of downing a can of icy cold Coke in the morning since my bf's fridge is stocked up with them.

Aside from all those health reasons, let's not forget the amount of money spent during those 'fun' night out drinking. Last Friday's damage was approximately RM 250, and that is just ONE night of 'fun'. Multiply that with 4 (one night of crazy drinking per week), the damage would have been RM1000. Enough money for me to buy tons of makeups. Enough money for me to buy lots of clothes for Chinese New Year.

Moreover I am not working full time right now. Really ought to start being more 'kiamsiap' or I may even need to resort to payday loan if I have insufficient funds to survive. Let's pray that it won't happen.

Terengganu and I will never truly be separated. Perhaps it is for the best, because I love Terengganu too! :)

My hair is lovely again!

Removed the hair extensions that I got from the recent trip to Guangzhou. Oh my hair is such a mess now, but it sure feels good to be able to run my fingers through my hair. Even my bf says 'now don't have those round round stuff in your hair anymore'. Not easy to remove the hair extensions though. I had to heat the glue up with the curling iron, and then separate the extensions from my real hair. At this point there would still be glue on my real hair and my hair would still be clumpy. So since I am so smart, I got all innovative and decided to put body oil on my hair. Then I heat up the glue again with the curling iron. Comb through and voila!! I am so bloody smart!!! hahahhaha

Am I gonna get hair extension again? Maybe, but only if I want to lengthen my hair. I only added the hair extension this time to highlight. Really cheap in China. About RM 1 per strand, I added about 50 strands. In Malaysia, I heard that one strand costs like RM 10. Crazy huh!!!

ok going to epf to find out how to withdraw money from account 2. no money after buying house la... so have to take money from account 2 now. sighs.

Rising crime rate in Malaysia.

Pak Lah is concerned about the rising crime rate in Malaysia wor. So today got directive to all tenants/ building owners at high crime area to install CCTV. They cannot say no to installing it. And the best part is this, 'the public plays a role in crime prevention' too and therefore building owners / tenants have to foot the bill for the installation of CCTVs. The CCTVs will be linked to the nearest police station.

Oh I see, the CCTV needs to be linked to the closest police station, and let me guess, they need 'experts' in that area and due to security reasons, CCTV installations can only be done by certain 'approved companies'. See the link now?

The flow of cash is not even going through the government now. Direct from public to crony.

I really don't know how to express my feelings right now. Few weeks ago I brought out my 2 diamond pendants (21st birthday presents from my parents), put them into a pouch, tie up the pouch and put them into a zipped pocket in my bag. I wanted to get a necklace that would fit those two pendants. I didn't manage to go to any jewelry shop but totally forgot about the pendants in my bag.

Suddenly thought about it this morning, so I opened the zipped up pocket in my bag. Took out the pouch, but my diamonds not there anymore!!!!! But the best part is I never opened the zipped up pocket, but my diamonds went missing, yet the pouch is still there. Where the hell did it go to? Someone must have taken it because the pouch was there, and the strings undone. I remember very clearly that I tied the strings up... :(

It is not so much of the monetary value that is killing me. Okay, that is definitely painful, but they were my 21st birthday present. :( Even if I get the same pendants back, it will never be the same.

:( I'm so forgetful you might as well send me to a nursing home for good. It's not funny at all. Please God let me find it again and I'll never be forgetful again...

anyhow, dad 'warned' us today that we should try to clear up after ourselves and make less of a mess cos apparently the helper wants to go back to where she came from and my mom loves her and can't live without her. so my dad wants to ronda our rooms to check whether we've made a mess or not. so funny, kinda reminds me of those days when we were young. oklah, have to cooperate la because dad says we are not entitled to anymore helper privilege because my babysister is already 18 this year. think the cut off point is 15 years old. but really i think if she (the helper) insist on going back, i'm sure dad will find ways to get another helper la.. he won't torture his daughters or let his wife suffer anymore... ;) even if we end up without any helper, not like we'll die la, because we've all done our share before... but sure our faces damn masam wan hahahhaha

but she really is good, and fast. one of my ex bf's family was damn afraid of their helper. they wouldn't invite ppl to their house because the helper didn't like it. at that time i thought it was really wussy of them to let their balls be squeezed by the helper, but now i kinda understand it. i mean, so what if cannot have ppl in our house, better than having to do housework forever and ever, right? right? right??

Not really a tv sort of person, but find myself watching quite a bit of TVB these days. It's the damn Astro on Demand!!! First it was that 60 episode long series 'The Drive of Life'. That's when I fell in love with Wah Chan Pong. Ok that's his character name in that show and for the life of me I can't recall his real name now. Guess I don't love him that much huh. Got to know Chermaine Sheh from that series as well. She is one gorgeous chick and their chemistry on screen was AMAZING! Basically they had a love hate rship at first, and then later they got married and eventually were separated then together again then not. Blah. So tension. But Wah Chan Pong got really kesian face la. It hurt me to see him like that so even though Chermaine Sheh is a bitch I still hoped that they would get back together la...

Those were crazy days... it was my bf who subscribed to that series, so when I couldn't watch it at his place I'd searched all over the Internet hoping that some kind fella actually recorded it and post it online. Shy...

And now my dad subscribed to this new series called War of In Laws 2. Or something like that lah. It's FUCKING hilarious!! There was this crazy madass scene when Myolie Wu and Bosco (what sort of name is Bosco anyways) had this encounter with a Rottweiller and being terrified of dogs, both of them came up with all sort of funky to chase the dog away. That scene is so funny that EVERYONE in the world should see it... it's hilarious... thinking about it makes me laugh out loud everytime.. I saw that scene 3 times already and I still laugh like mad. BTW, I read somewhere that Myolie and Bosco are dating IRL. Oh nooo why?? Bosco is so duh!!!

Celebrated mom's birthday today. Had dinner then the rest of the Lim clan came over. I think she really liked her presents.
